The first micropub in Longridge is due to open tomorrow Thursday, October 6 at 4 Towneley Parade when locals Nickie and Duncan Crosbie open the door at the ‘Tap & Vent’.
Married for 22 years and having always harboured a desire to once again run their own business, the couple felt they had the perfect opportunity to open Tap & Vent in the heart of the Longridge community.
“We also felt we were creating a wider interest to promote Longridge,” they explained.
Together they have more than 25 years experience in business with Duncan presently working for Britain’s oldest independent brewery, Shepherd Neame, while Nickie set up and ran Junior Exchange for some time and is currently the manager of the YMCA charity shop on Berry Lane.
Nickie said: “It seems to be the right business and the right time for us.
“Tap & Vent is a true freehouse providing what our customers desire in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere where you can come and have a great pint and a good chat.”
They will serve a selection of five rotating cask ales, craft beers and lagers from all around the world plus a selection of ciders, wines and traditional snacks and have membership of the micropub association and Bii.
They would like to thank all their family and friends for their tireless support with their new project.
