Motorcyclist dies in Hambleton crash

A MOTORCYCLIST has been killed in an horrific accident.

The man has been named this morning at David Redman, aged 50, from Preesall.

He was travelling on the A588 Carr Lane, Hambleton, when he was involved in a collision with a Vauxhall Corsa at the junction with Sower Carr Lane.

Emergency crews were called to the scene - a notorious accident blackspot - at 2.40pm on Sunday.

The motorcyclist suffered head injuries and was pronounced dead on arrival at Blackpool Victoria Hospital.

Two passengers who were travelling in the Corsa were unhurt.

Lancashire Police today confirmed the man’s relatives have been informed.
