The annual Christmas Fair of St Hilda’s Church, Bilsborrow, drew a good crowd of eager supporters of all ages.
The wide variety of stalls and entertainment offered something for all; the former with bargains, the latter providing a bit of fun with a chance to win a prize or two.
Father Christmas drew the usual fans with their Christmas’ lists. And the restaurant provided a steady flow of tasty morsels for the hungry.
Churchwarden John Blackley said: “The Fair has been held for many years as part our Patronal Weekend.
“This year we introduced some new attractions without changing the overall pattern of the occasion, which is as much about good fellowship as raising funds for our church.
“It was so nice to host the new Myerscough College Chaplain, Gloria Birdsall, who so kindly opened the fair. My fellow churchwarden, Barry Johnson, joins me in thanking everyone who helped with the fair as well as those who attended. A magnificent sum approaching £2,000 has been raised.”
