Villagers turned out to celebrate the Queen’s birthday with a party in her honour but also one of their own who also marked her 90th milestone.
Party-goers of all ages enjoyed a very colourful and British occasion, organised by the Parish Church of St. Helen’s, Churchtown at Catterall village hall.
And special guest was Mrs Joan Cook of Calder Drive, who has lived in Catterall for 55 years, who turned 90 on June 1. Joan (pictured) said: “This was the third 90th birthday cake I have had the privilege of being presented with in the last 12 days, and my children Frank, Elizabeth, Margaret, John, Joyce and Alan are delighted with the honours bestowed on me at this time.”
