In an announcement to their customers yesterday on their Facebook page the popular takeaway and dine in restaurant which serves up Greek and Mediterranean street food said: “Dear customers. We are pausing deliveries from UberEATS from today because they haven't paid us the money from your orders since May, and they won't even give us a concrete answer as to why, when our account will be unlocked, or when they will give us our money.
“In the meantime, please select any of the other delivery providers we work with: Preston Eats, Just eat or Deliveroo.
“Thank you for your understanding.”
Christina who helps run the restaurant’s social media and also teaches Academic English at UCLan in Preston told the Post that the pay dispute was very frustrating and causing stress as they could not get a valid response from the company, rather an automated one.

"We have never had any issues whatsoever since we started using the company in 2019.
"I have tried many times to get in contact with them to sort this through all means of communication such but we just get the general telephone centre or an email response saying they are looking into it and we should hopefully receive monies owed by Monday, but when Monday comes around there is no money placed into our account and they always say ‘hopefully’”.
She claims things started to turn sour on early June when they couldn’t access the accounts.

“We have a lot of expense and people to pay.
"We took this shop on last December and this is very difficult as we invested everything on this restaurant and we thought – finally we are getting somewhere so to have this happen is very frustrating.
"We want to know has this happened to anyone else.”
Asked how much she thought the business was owed, she added: “I don’t think it is right to disclose the number, but it runs into five digits.”
Anyone wishing to use the restaurant’s takeaway service can do so via other food delivery servers Deliveroo or JustEat.
