POLICE have renewed an appeal for information about a road traffic collision in which a man from St Michael’s was injured.
The collision occurred at around 4.45pm on September 22 at the junction of Fleetwood Road and Mile Road in Singleton, when a blue Hyundai i30 collided with a black Yamaha R1 motorcycle.
The 36-year-old motorcyclist from St Michael’s was airlifted to the Royal Preston Hospital with multiple injuries, but is expected to make a full recovery.
The 22-year-old driver of the car suffered from shock.
PC David Webster from the Road Policing Unit said: “I would urge anybody that witnessed this collision to come forward and contact police.
“In particular I would appeal to the occupants of a silver or green vehicle seen at the junction at this time who could be a key witness.”
The road was closed for four hours to allow for an investigation to take place.
