Car crashes on M6 near Preston

A car rolled down the verge after aquaplaning on the M6 near Preston, say police.

Emergency services attended the scene of the accident which happened between junctions 32 and 33 on the northbound carriageway at around 9.15am on Monday.

A spokesman for the police said in a post to Twitter: "Driver aquaplaned on the M6.

"The vehicle rolled down the embankment but thankfully only minor injuries reported by the two occupants."

Drivers experienced some delays following the incident.
