The sun is shining over Lancashire this morning.
The blue skies and warmer temperatures have arrived after weeks of unsettled conditions.
Temperatures in the North West are expected to reach 23C today.
In other parts of England, it is expected to reach 28C this weekend, which is higher than usual for the time of year and would make it as hot as Barcelona and parts of the Canary Islands.
The warmer temperatures might not be here for long, but they have come in time for a series of weekend events.
The Royal Lancashire Show is underway at Salesbury Hall, in Ribchester, and there is a cider and beer festival at Cuerden Valley Park, near Preston.
Performers are taking to the stage for the Lytham Festival and all eyes will be looking to the skies for Blackpool Air Show tomorrow.
