Woman cut from car after crash

A woman had to be cut out of her car after colliding with another vehicle.

Fire crews from Preston rushed to the scene at around 8.50pm last night after receiving reports of a car crash on Mariners Way just outside DFS.

A fire and rescue service spokesman said: “One of the drivers was out of his vehicle on arrival. The other car was more significantly damaged; one male was taken out of the car and a female passenger was cut out on the advice of paramedics and carried out on a longboard.

“The female passenger was then taken by ambulance to Royal Preston Hospital.”
