Twenty-four hours before booking their spot in the Meyler Cup Final, Garstang were victorious by 29 runs against Torrisholme.
Having won the toss and chosen to bat first, Garstang lost Michael Walling (2) and Allan Cook (7) cheaply at Boundary Meadow.
Mark Walling (32) and Tom Wells (20) led a recovery, one which looked in danger of being wasted as six of the remaining seven batsmen were all out in single figures.
The one exception was Matthew Liver, whose undefeated 21 helped Garstang to 112 all out.
Graham Lee (4-29) and Jeff Stobbart (4-40) were Torrisholme’s main wicket takers with the others going to Daniel Woods (2-25).
In reply, however, none of Torrisholme’s top six made it out of single figures as the Garstang attack set to work.
The opening pair of Ian Walling (3-22) and Ryan Wells (3-17) did the damage, supported well by Michael Walling (2-24) and Andy Booker (2-16).
Their efforts saw Torrisholme all out for 83 in the 42nd over with Matt Jackson (18) their top scorer.
The seconds were also victorious, dismissing Norcross for 145 and reaching their target with five wickets in hand.
However, the third XI went down against Torrisholme as they were skittled for 59 – exactly half of their opponents’ 118 all out, while the fourths went down to defeat against Blackpool.
This weekend sees the first XI welcome Freckleton to The Riverside as they look for an 11th victory in 14 league games.
The seconds travel to Rufford CC, the thirds are at Freckelton, while the fourths meet Blackpool at Hudson Park.
