Coppull United 2

Longridge Town 1

Longridge Town Football Club lost 2-1 against Coppull United.

Richard Coar put Town a goal up away from home after 25 minutes with a signature strike.

But two late goals from United pushed the game out of reach and despite good performances from Craven and Pearson Longridge’s losing streak continued.

Chairman Brian Parkinson said: “This week we have a very important game at home to Charnock Richard.

“They are top of the league and a good win would send confidence sky high and kick start our season.”

Longridge currently lie 12th in the West Lancashire Football League, after a slow start to the season.

The reserve team echoed the result, losing 3-0 at home to Burscough Richmond FC.
