Longridge Town make second defensive signing
Longridge Town boss Lee Ashcroft has added to his defensive options with the signing of Brandon Lee.
The left-back's arrival followed that of fellow full-back, Jacob Ridings, as Ashcroft looks to build a squad capable of challenging for honours once the 2020/21 season begins.
Lee joins Town on a one-year deal after spending last season with Chorley, having also spent time with Blackburn Rovers and Bolton Wanderers.
Ashcroft told the Longridge website: "Brandon's a great young talent who I'm delighted to have on board.
"Like Jacob, he's impressed me in pre-season and it's great to have another new and promising face on board."
Lee added: "I'm delighted to sign for a club with great squad and management.
"I'm looking forward to playing and pushing for success this season."
Both Lee and Ridings figured as Town continued their pre-season preparations at the weekend with a hastily-arranged friendly at Southport.
With their scheduled game against Ramsbottom United having been cancelled, a last-minute trip to Haig Avenue was finalised instead.
Town were beaten 9-2 by a Southport side playing three divisons above them in the pyramid, Harvey MacAdam and Troy Carsley with their goals.
