Garstang Football Club has recruited a new man to their management committee in the shape of Tony Vile whose company Rockform Ltd is the club’s principal shirt sponsors.
“We have had great support from Tony already and by joining the committee it shows that Tony fully believes in what we are all trying to achieve”, said a club spokesman.
Tony said: “I am delighted to have been invited to join the Garstang Football Club Committee.
“Although my football skills have long since left me, I feel that I can bring something to the table and join the dedicated members of the committee in their pursuit of continued success for the Team and improvements at the Riverside”
The club has further strengthened their back room team by appointing Rob Ball as youth team secretary.
Rob joins the club from Cockerham Juniors’ Football Club and will liaise with the management to continue the smooth running of the team.
“With the departure of manager Chris Nix who had done such a good job it was important that our youth team has stability and maintains its progress up till and beyond the appointment of a new manager.
“ I’m sure that Rob will help us achieve this dealing with the administration and in doing so helping the new manager settle in more easily.
“We are, therefore, delighted to welcome Rob on board to fulfil this role,” said the club spokesman.
