Wyresdale Rangers are now just one point from avoiding the drop in the Lancashire Sunday League Division One.
After clawing their way from the bottom of the table, the Scorton-based side have two games left to play after their 2-2 draw against Tanterton.
And off the field the team have also scored some success with a new sponsorship deal with major lawn care provider GreenThumb.
The firm, which has branches in both Garstang and Longridge has invested in a new set of training tops for the club, and a sign at Wyresdale’s Woodacre Hall ground.
Wyresdale Rangers secretary Will Ingham said the club was “delighted” with the alliance,he added: “Wyresdale is extremely proud to be associated with such a respected and highly-regarded local company as GreenThumb. We are extremely thankful to Christine and her team for extending their support to the club and I am hopeful this is a relationship that will continue to grow and benefit both parties.”
Christine Ible – franchisee of the Preston North branch of GreenThumb said: “We are extremely pleased to be able to lend our sponsorship to a local club like Wyresdale, and we look forward to continuing the successful fortunes of the club both on and off the pitch.”
