Silverdale 53 all out

Shireshead 57 for 2

Shireshead won by 8 wickets

Shireshead made short work of beating Silverdale in a game that was done and dusted before 5pm and pocketed a maximum 15 points in the process.

Silverdale elected to bat first upon winning the toss but were never allowed to settle as Gareth Jennings (5 for 20) and Peter Wilson (5 for 25) bowled an immaculate line and length.

Jennings and Wilson bowled unchanged for the duration of the innings and built pressure with their control, whilst extracting enough movement to cause the batting side constant problems.

The innings subsided to 53 all out in the 30th over.

The Shireshead reply was brief as the required runs were garnered in 15 overs, Robert Skipworth, David Riley (22 not out) and Dave Jack all contributing.
