Club hopes to catch new members

An angling club is trawling for new young members.

Morecambe and District Junior Anglers are looking for new members to join their club. Last year, the club moved their base to Cleveley Bridge Fisheries, following the loss of their lake at Docker.

The owners of Cleveley Bridge Fisheries kindly stepped in at short notice, and provided the club with a clubhouse and priority use of their lakes for lessons and matches.

This has given the club the opportunity to continue running and increased their member catchment area.

If you are aged between eight and 16 and would like to try fishing or improve your angling skills, Morecambe and District Junior Anglers will be holding an open day at the fisheries on Saturday, April 6, from 10am.

All equipment will be provided and if you enjoy it, you will be able to sign up for membership on the day. Visit the club website at for more information.
