Garstang’s swimmers bagged three medals and a haul of personal bests in one of the biggest events on the amateur club’s sporting calendar.
Twenty members of Garstang Amateur Swimming Club took to the pool for the Blackpool Rocks gala hosted by Blackpool Aquatics.
The competition schedule involved events from 50m to 200m in a mixture of Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, Butterfly and Individual Medley.
In the 15years and over compeition Eleanor Moss finished second in the both the 50m and 100m breaststroke, while Abbie Hewitt in the 14years also claimed second spot in the 50m backstroke.
While the overall team finished the competition with a total of 47 personal bests.
Team Manager Andy Charlesworth said: ‘All of the swimmers have performed exceptionally well demonstrating that their hard work and the work of the Coaching staff has paid off.
“Garstang has many talented swimmers and I am really proud of their performance at this popular event.
“For several of our young swimmers this was their first open gala and they have thoroughly enjoyed their time at the event. Well done to everyone.”
9 year old age group: Erin McNeil (2 PBs), Rachel Williamson (2 PBs), Matthew Charlesworth (2 PBs) and Jamie Hawtin (4th in 50m backstroke & 3 PBs).
11 year old age group: Emily Ryan (3 PBs), Ruby Charmak (3 PBs), Natalie Charlesworth (3 PBs) and Lucas Brown (2 PBs).
12 year old age group: Mia Swarbrick (2 PBs ), Caitlin McNeil (3 PBs), Imogen Collinson (2 PBs), Rebecca Hawtin (3 PBs), Jessica Critchley (5 PBs), Amelia Smith (2 PBs), Jack Charmak (2 PBs) and Jack Holmes (5th in 50m breaststroke & 2 PBs.
14 year old age group: Phoebe Collinson (2 PBs) and Abbie Hewitt (2nd in 50m backstroke & 1 PB).
15 year old & over age group: Corien Saul (4th in 100m freestyle, 5th in 50m breaststroke, 3rd in 50m freestyle, 4th in 50m butterfly & 3 PBs) and Eleanor Moss (4th in 200m breaststroke, 2nd in 50m breaststroke and 2nd in 100m breaststroke)
