Whitechapel Primary School and the local community pulled out all the stops for the 4th Blacksticks Blue 10K Race on Sunday.

Thankfully, the rain just about held off and organisers
welcomed nearly 200 entries for the fabulous scenic route that takes everyone up Beacon Fell and back down to Whitechapel Village Hall.

The race is sponsored by Butler’s Farmhouse Cheeses, which also had a group of employees entering the race, and The Runners Centre, Lancaster. Refreshments were served by the parents on the day, and the 10K run is now becoming a popular event for many Lancashire running clubs and
further afield, with every runner winning a Blacksticks Blue cheese.

Organisers would like to like to thank everyone involved in making this another successful day.

All money raised goes towards Whitechapel PTFA and Whitechapel and Inglewhite’s multi use games area.
