Garstang Blues gained a sensational 62-10 win over Fylde 4ths on Saturday with a ten try demolition of local rivals Fylde 4ths. With a strong squad on show the Blues put on an outstanding first half performance as they scored six tries to take a 40-0 lead. Newcomer Hadley Price and regular Scrum Half Adam Nickson, trying at Flanker for the day, were the pick of the players in the half.

With the game already effectively won at the break and Fylde struggling with just thirteen players the Blues lent them two players to ensure that the game continued as a contest. This slowed down the scoring but did not completely stop it and Fylde were powerless to stop the Blues scoring a further four tries to take a 62-0 lead.

To their credit Fylde never gave up and, bolstered by another couple of Blues players, they managed to score themselves a couple of tries at the end of the game to give them something to celebrate.

On November 29 the 1st XV are back in action away at Thornton Cleveleys in North Lancs One and the Blues are at home to Leigh 4ths in the Second Round of the Cup, both games KO at 14:15.
