Moult had started the previous three Championship games, scoring the winning goal in the 1-0 victory at Nottingham Forest.

“It’s not a bad injury by any means,” said the PNE manager at his pre-match press conference on Wednesday.
“It’s one that we’ve had to monitor.
“We took a view on it for the weekend and it wasn’t quite right.
“We’re still having a look at it just now and it’s a bit uncertain as to how it will be come the weekend.

“We’ll see how he goes and then make a decision at the end of the week.”
Moult looks like the only player in contention to return this weekend.
With just 17 fit players available, Neil turned to 16-year-old academy winger Ethan Walker to fill his bench for the win over the Lions last Saturday.

“Sean is making good progress, Josh is making good progress and Brandon is making good progress,” said Neil.
“We’ve got quite a few on the mend but in terms of immediate players coming back were still pretty light.”
