The event features a host of stalls, exhibits and guest appearances from stars of sci-fi films and comic books.

Former Dr Who Colin Baker will be among the guests. Others include Ross Mullan, who has played one of the sinister White Walkers throughout the Game of Thrones series, as well as numerous characters from Dr Who and Clash of the Titans.

Also attending is Tim Perkins, an award winning writer/artist who has been creating comics for over 30 years, which include work for Marvel, DC, Defiant, 2000AD and Tekno amongst many others.

Co-organiser Daz Wildman said organisers had worked with Pokemon Go to arrange for Pokemon characters to be captured at the venue.

He said: “At Comic Con there will literally be something for all the family and fans of all genres. We are all looking forward to a great day.”
