Photographer Guy Pugh has put his camera to one side to display his other talents as a keen artist, while fellow Garstang Camera Club member Andy Stewart is displaying his photographic handiwork.

Andy, of Claughton on Brock, won national recognition for his camera skills last year when his photo of a hare in a field at Winmarleigh was chosen by BBC viewers for a place in this year’s Countryfile calendar.

Guy, of Garstang, who had an interest in art as a youngster, rekindled his hobby after retiring about four years ago.

A Garstang Arts Centre spokesperson said: “Both exhibitors are interested in wildlife subjects and Guy’s particular interest in horses is apparent from his realistic portrayal of these animals.”

The joint photographic / art exhibition continues until Thursday, December 8, 2016.
