And there’s a fairytale ending for those still wanting to see it.

For the first in its 103 year history, the Lowther Pavilion Theatre & Gardens have extended their panto run into the New Year, giving those who’ve previously missed out on the festive tradition, the chance to book.

Tickets have also been put on sale for next year’s panto, Snow White.

With Christmas just around the corner, the Lowther Pavilion Theatre & Gardens are celebrating the success of Jack and the Beanstalk as it climbs to new heights, breaking previous box office panto records.

Within the first two weeks of the show’s run, the venue has seen a ticket sale increase of at least 30% when compared to pre-pandemic sales.

The show, which is produced by Paul Holman Associates, follows Jack who, with nothing but a handful of (magic!) beans, must find the courage to slay the evil giant in his quest to win the hand of the beautiful Princess and to free his village of tyranny forever.

Featuring breathtaking scenery, dazzling costumes, spectacular singing and plenty of traditional pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk is the perfect festive entertainment for all the family.

The feedback from Jack and the Beanstalk so far has been incredible, say the venue, with audiences saying: ”A superb panto. Great fun for the grandchildren and the grandparents.

"An excellent show unlikely to be bettered at larger venues. Great value & well done to the volunteers.”

Another added: “Absolutely fantastic. Certainly going to book again it was our first pantomime and it we cannot wait for our next one. What a great place.”
