A calendar for 2014 celebrating 50 years of the designation of the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty has been launched.
Eight local photographers have donated their photographs free of charge to support Champion Bowland - a social enterprise charity established to encourage tourism businesses, visitors, local communities and groups to work together in caring for the Forest of Bowland landscape.
Champion Bowland provides small grants for local projects, which benefit the local environment, communities and visitors.
The calendar is said to feature some striking, seasonal images of local wildlife and landscapes in the Forest of Bowland.
All proceeds from the calendar are being donated to Champion Bowland .
Within the Ribble Valley calendars can be bought for £8 from the following venues across the area: Clitheroe Visitor Information Centre; the Old Post House Hotel, Clitheroe; Bowland Wild Boar Park, Chipping; Gibbon Bridge Hotel, Chipping; Puddleducks, Dunsop Bridge; The Inn at Whitewell; The Spread Eagle, Sawley; Potters Barn, Ribchester and Central Stores, Slaidburn.
