Artist Barry Wearing is currently exhibiting his paintings at Garstang Arts Centre until December 14.
Barry, born and bred in Liverpool, is a self-taught artist who now lives in Winmarleigh with his wife Elaine.
When Elaine was diagnosed with cancer in 2011, Barry’s interest in art was re-ignited and he regularly donates paintings for fund raising events.
As well as paintings of screen icons, Barry’s Liverpool roots are evident in his work and the recent arrival of a grandson has had a great influence.
The exhibition can be viewed on Tuesdays 10am-12.30pm and 2pm-4pm, Thursdays 10am-4pm and Saturdays 10am-12.30pm.
