Pupils man fruit stall to practise language skills

The pupils at St Aidan’s school in Preesall got a taste of the bustle of a European market when they set up a foreign-language fruit stall.

The pupils wre practising their linguistic skills as part of European Day of Languages. They set up a fruit stall and practised asking for the fruit they wanted in a variety of European languages.

They also held quizzes and a boules tournament.

Kelly Parkinson, Director of Modern, Foreign Languages at the school said: “It’s a great chance, as a school, to celebrate all the languages we can learn and to find out about all the different countries and share our language experiences together.”
