Remember the popular TV word game Call My Bluff which ran from 1965 to 1988?
Celebrity panellists were invited to give the meaning of forgotten English words which were once in common parlance. The snag was out of various definitions given only one was true.
Now the game is set for a one-night revival to raise funds for Garstang Arts Centre. Those taking part in the Garstang revival will be former Garstang town crier John Davis, ex-Arts Centre chairman Mary Thornber, one-time minister of Garstang United Reformed Church Rev David Greenwood, retired headteacher Ann Wicks and Catterall photographer Andy Stewart.
The ticket-only event is being held at Garstang Arts Centre on Saturday, October 10 at 7.30pm. Tickets are available, price £5 including nibbles. They are available from Garstang Arts Centre and Market Place News, Garstang.
