Future Preston Tours organisers They Eat Culture (TEC). promise that the Tron event at 53 Degrees will be the most sensation screening the city has ever seen.
Prepare to be sucked into an interactive mainframe of sensory input, with live music, 80s retro-gaming, performance, audio-visual installations, and an after-party ‘til late with members of DJ collective Beats of Rage.
First up, a trip with Future Preston Tour guides, meeting at the iconic Bus Station, you will become part of an interactive performance and game, on street and through your phones.
Arrival at 53 Degrees sees ticket-holders drawn into the world of Tron, with a fantastic audio-visual installation and amazing live sound and visuals, plus an early 80s video game arcade and bar.
‘Enter the mainframe’ for a live chanteuse vocal set from up-and-coming chanteuse Ruby Roux, providing haunting solo vocals in the mould of Regina Spektor above a live mix to introduce the film.
After the screening it’s on to the after-party with Beats of Rage stalwarts T.F. Wizard & Hindle and special guest BLACK (Now Wave / Lost Control) who will spin ‘grimy electro & chunky house’ floor fillers and ‘sci-fi sounds’.
