Lancashire indie-rock band The Farthingales have a busy few weeks ahead with gigs in Chorley and Leyland.

The Chorley four-piece met at Balshaw’s CE High School, Leyland.

The band burst on to the music scene last year reaching the final of a Manchester battle of the bands competition.

Last June they played the Leyland Festival and in October played an acclaimed gig as part of Chorley Live.

They have since become a regular name at the town’s Last Orders music pub and have been rehearsing and recording at Modern English’s Studio.

The band’s debut EP Cliche, was released just before Christmas.

Over the next month they will play at The Fox And Lion in Leyland from 6pm this Sunday; at the Last Orders, in Chorley, on Friday, February 27; and at The Springfield, in Coppull, on Saturday, March 7.
