Iconic punky pop pioneers The Rezillos play Clitheroe’s Grand Theatre on Sunday.
Formed in Edinburgh in 1976, the Rezillos shot rapidly to chart success and recognition.
Timeless classics such as Top of the Pops, I Can’t Stand My Baby, My Baby Does Good Sculptures and Destination Venus marked them out as a band with a difference.
The unusual combination of female and male lead vocalists, Fay Fife and Eugene Reynolds, coupled with razor sharp guitar, effervescent bass lines and incisive drums delivered an unmistakable sound.
The Rezillos’ new album Zero is in the Top Five of the Amazon Alternative Chart, the band are currently touring with The Stranglers this year and The Grand is thrilled to welcome them on Sunday, March 22.
Support comes from Ed Tenpole of Tenpole Tudor.
