Invite to mark Queen’s 90th with tea & music in Winmarleigh

An invitation to ‘A Right Royal Celebration for the Queen’s 90th Birthday’ is being extended to the community by St Luke’s Church, Winmarleigh.

The celebration takes place this Sunday, April 17, within the church, which is situated on Church Lane.

First, there is the 90th birthday themed morning service at 11am, to which all are welcome.

Then, from noon to 3pm the church will be open to all for afternoon tea with sandwiches, homemade cakes and scones, and where at 1.30pm there will be “A Royal Music Recital’ with well known organist Nigel Gaze B.MUS.F.R.C.O and a solo of ‘Jerusalem’ sung by William (Bill) Chippendale, who is also from Garstang.

Everyone is also invited to wear hats and gloves if they so wish.

The cost of the afternoon tea is £6 per head - booking and tickets not required.
