Conductor Natalia Luis-Bassa is preparing to take her final bow with the Haffner Orchestra and has chosen Lancaster as the scene for her farewell.
The Veneuzuelan-born Luis-Bassa has secured the post of principal conductor at Wellington College, Berkshire.
The concert, at the Ashton Hall in Lancaster Town Hall on June 28, will be your last chance to see Natalia with the Haffner Orchestra.
Natalia has completed 10 years with the orchestra, which has gone from strength to strength during that time.
Helen Price, publicity pfficer, said: “When we appointed Natalia 10 years ago, we didn’t think she would stay long with us, as she is such a brilliant conductor.
“We feel privileged that she has stayed for 10 years, and thrilled that the orchestra has continued to develop and improved so much during that time.”
The last opportunity to see Natalia with the Haffner is on Saturday, June 28 at 7.30pm.
Soloist on the night will be Marianne Thorsen (violin) and she will also give a pre-concert talk.
The programme for the evening will include Berlioz’s famous Overture to King Lear, Mozart’s Violin Concerto no. 4 and Brahms Symphony no.2
