Forget the fluffy bunnies, the hot cross buns, cute chicks, plaintive bleats of lambs headed for the Sunday roast, Easter egg rolling and lots of chocolate.
When it comes to Easter one of Blackpool’s top tourist attractions likes its shows like its chocolate - darkly wicked.
Which is why Blackpool Tower Dungeon is opting for a decidedly self indulgent but far from sweet treat for the Easter break with the launch of a brand new show entitled Wicked Women.
Three formidable females are being welcomed into the depths of Dungeon to help visitors and locals delve through 1000 years of Lancashire’s murky past, accompanied by loathsome ladies of yesteryear.
The infamous Pendle Witches are back in residence in the eerie woods, where anyone including you could be accused of witchcraft in a truly interactive walkthrough, with the accused Alizon Device telling her story in her own words. There’s the dare to drop ride with a drop of the real thing with the wicked wenches in the Hangman’s Tavern to help calm the nerves.
Said to be suitable for children aged eight and over, the experience offers the Easter tingle factor aplenty .
If you’re brave enough to meet the Wicked Women tickets prices online start at £10.50 for kids, £13 for adults: http://www.thedungeons.com/blackpool/en/
