English Touring Theatre (ETT) and Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre are presenting Eternal Love at the Grand Theatre at Blackpool next month.
The cast for this revival of the Globe’s critically acclaimed production of Howard Brenton’s play includes eight of the actors who performed in the same team’s acclaimed co-production of Anne Boleyn in 2012.
Jo Herbert and David Sturzaker take the leads of Heloise and Abelard in the story of a doomed love affair between a teacher and his student.
Director Rachel Tackley said: “The aim of the National Touring Group is to bring productions ofa size and ambition rarely seen on tour to audiences nationwide, giving much-deserved further life to fantastic, critically acclaimed shows.
“We are thrilled audiences across the country will have the opportunity to see such a brilliant cast, in another fabulous Globe production.”
Eternal Love is at Blackpool Grand from Tuesday March 11 to Saturday 15. Tickets: Adults £20, full time students and children £11, groups 20+ £9.50, 50+ £8.50. Box office: 01253 290 190.
