Lancashire’s manufacturing sector prepares for “the one they all want to win…”

A recent report states despite the UK leaving the European Union in 2021 and fears over post-Brexit trade, the country’s manufacturing sector has bounced back with exports and is now in on track to reach ambitious targets set by the government by 2030.

Last year the county helped contribute billions to the UK’s record exports, with more companies producing local goods and services which have found been purchased by UK consumers or found routes into global markets.

With a manufacturing sector beginning to find its feet once more following a punishing few years following the pandemic, Lancashire is once again becoming seeing an evolution in its most historic asset.

And this year, Lancashire manufacturers have been applying in their droves for the BIBAs in order to emulate last year’s winners, Leyland Trucks, who themselves made history by claiming three awards, including Manufacturer of the Year.

Competition is fierce for this category, as with the other 19 BIBAs, and sponsors FW Capital say they are looking forward to judging the businesses who have come forward to take this year’s crown.
